Yesterday, I accompanied my boss, Dr. Mark Wunsch, to Assisi for the day. The two hour train ride is only 13 euro from Rome! Had a delightful lunch and a great time walking around the medieval city. Here are some of the shots I got:
The Basilica of St. Francis. This is the view right as you turn the corner from the bus stop. St. Francis is buried here as well. I have found Assisi to be my favorite town in Italy.
Here is the crypt of the basilica. The frescos are amazing!
