St. Anastasia died on Christmas day in the year 300 AD and the Pope used to visit Sant’ Anastasia al Palatino at dawn every Christmas day to commemorate her. The church is a beautiful baroque church (completed in 1656) where St. Jerome would often celebrate mass.
